at Radiator Arts with Christopher Allen
Part of OFFLINE at Radiator Arts (NYC), Alison S. M. Kobayashi performed four characters inspired by objects that she found on the sidewalk and in second hand shops in New York City. Viewers were invited into Kobayashi’s dressing room (temporarily transported to Radiator Arts' freight elevator) to observe the creation of photographic GIF Selfies. Each portrait was created live using cell phone to camera tethering technology, resulting in four infinitely looping gestures of Kobayashi’s newly minted characters.
